Flip Rock — Privacy Policy

Flip Rock ("we", "us") is a quiet daily game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to sign you in and save your progress. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party tracking.

What we collect

• Phone number — used only to sign you in. We send a one-time code (OTP) to verify it; there are no passwords.
• Gameplay data — which specimens you've discovered and the dates you've flipped, tied to your account so your field guide is saved.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, advertising identifiers, or analytics/behavioral data.

How we use it

• To authenticate you (the phone number + one-time code).
• To save and sync your collection and once-per-day flip across your devices.

How it's stored and who processes it

• Backend data (your account, finds, flip dates) is stored with Supabase (our hosting/database provider) on your behalf.
• One-time verification codes are delivered via Twilio Verify.
• Your sign-in token is stored on your device in the operating system's secure storage.

Supabase and Twilio act as service providers/processors for the functions above. We do not share your data with anyone for advertising or sell it to anyone.

Children and families

Flip Rock is family-friendly and rated 4+, but it is not directed at children under 13 as its primary audience and is not part of Apple's Kids Category or Google's Designed for Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 beyond the phone number needed to sign in. A parent or guardian should set up the account. If you believe a child provided us information and you want it removed, contact us and we'll delete it.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing fliprockgame@gmail.com — we'll delete it.

Your choices

• The only personal information we hold is your phone number; request deletion anytime (above).

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
